Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Planner in Kulim, Malaysia to manage production schedules and coordinate with procurement, logistics and production teams. The role requires analyzing demand, capacity and material availability to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels.

Responsibilities include developing short- and long-term build plans, communicating variances to stakeholders, and driving process improvements in planning and fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five to Seven years relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes.
• Basic knowledge of production planning fundamentals, scheduling, and manufacturing control systems.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, controls and executes a production schedule for designated products.
• Develops production schedules based on actual and forecasted customer demand and product profiles.
• Analyzes inputs such as capacity, cycle times, urgency, and material availability to determine schedules.
• Communicates materials availability to support build plans across the product life cycle.
• Maintains knowledge of customer volume fluctuations and informs procurement on variances.
• Leads continuous improvement of planning processes and outbound order fulfillment.
