As part of a small team, you will be responsible for product performance. You will collaborate with design engineering and other functional teams to understand requirements, identify key factors, and optimize product performance to meet ambitious targets. You will use simulation, testing, and engineering judgment to solve problems during technology and product development. You will work with UK counterparts to incorporate state-of-the-art technologies, taking projects from early design stages through to production.
You will establish an excellent understanding of product requirements and deliver top-level performance metrics on complex projects with multiple components.
You will resolve complex problems, develop an understanding of failure mechanisms, identify root causes, and design experiments to ensure solutions are foolproof.
You will assess multiple viewpoints independently, determine technical directions for projects, and apply system thinking to optimize and balance product performance, creating user-centric products.
You will plan and prioritize tasks to develop coherent requirements, ensuring consistent performance throughout the product development process.
You will drive data analysis, ensure robust testing methodologies, and provide conclusive proposals for timely solutions and verification reports.
You will keep stakeholders informed about project progress and status.
You will provide technical leadership, partner with teammates to increase development efficiency, and contribute to continuous process improvements.
You hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
You possess broad knowledge of applied physics, design engineering, particle science, fluid dynamics, and numerical analysis.
You have experience using analytical tools for problem-solving and performance optimization.
You are competent in CAD tools.
You have experience with system engineering processes and system breakdown analysis.
You can write clear product requirements and test methods.
You thrive in high-demand, fast-paced environments, managing stakeholder expectations with critical thinking.
You are a logical thinker with attention to detail and a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals.
You demonstrate strong project ownership, providing clear direction to facilitate decision-making.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting ideas confidently to diverse audiences, including management. You tailor communication to different levels as needed.
