Job summary

Seagate Technology seeks a senior Process Engineer to lead the HDD substrate manufacturing process (ID/OD, grinding, plating) at the Johor site. You will ensure process stability, drive yield improvements, and maintain product quality to meet customer requirements.

You will coach a team of Process Engineers and Technicians while partnering with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Suppliers to hit targets on yield, uptime, and cost savings in a high-volume, global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the HDD substrate manufacturing process in ID/OD, grinding, and plating.
• Drive yield, quality, and cost improvement through data analysis and CAPA.
• Manage process reliability and controls, maintenance, and plating performance.
• Lead and develop a team of Process Engineers and Technicians.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Suppliers to meet targets.
