Job summary

ams OSRAM Group in Malaysia seeks a Senior Staff Engineer in Process Engineering (Metallization) to own metalization process quality, yield and capability. You will lead CIP projects to reduce costs and expand capacity while guiding transfers and ramp activities with global counterparts.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering/Science with 8+ years in front-end semiconductor fabrication, strong cross-functional leadership, and expertise in OEE, SPC, FMEA, and DMAIC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Enginering / Science is required with an added advantage for higher qualifications.
• More than 8 years of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment working experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams (process & equipment engineering, production).
• Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural multi-national environments.

Responsibilities

• Own full process ownership on quality, yield, damage containment, process capability and stability, cost, CpK and related KPIs.
• Lead CIP projects to enable cost reduction, capacity expansion, yield and performance improvements for Best-In-Class LED chips at competitive cost.
• Lead process transfer, process & tool qualification and ramp projects with alignment to Regensburg counterparts.
• Create and maintain documentation, certification & compliance of procedures per safety & quality standards to meet legal & customer requirements.
• Perform risk assessment and implement controls to keep processes stable; own PFMEA, control plan and working instructions; lead audits by customers/certifying bodies.
• Provide direction for process and equipment strategy with procurement specs for equipment purchases.
• Provide training to engineers, technicians, manufacturing specialists.
• Offer technical leadership, guidance & consultancy on process engineering topics with cross-functional teams.
