Job summary

WHO in Malaysia seeks a Senior Cloud Architect to lead a team delivering a scalable Learning Experience Platform (LXP) on Azure Red Hat OpenShift. You will shape architectural standards, ensure high availability, and guide data stores, security, and AI/ML integrations.

Requires 7+ years in cloud architecture with 3+ years in large Kubernetes platforms, Azure expertise, and OpenEdX familiarity. EdTech experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in cloud architecture.
• At least 3 years in large-scale, cloud-native Kubernetes platforms.
• Proven experience with relational and NoSQL databases, search/analytics tools, and caching solutions.
• Experience with Azure cloud services, including architecture, networking, security, API Management, and Blob Storage.
• Desirable: EdTech or large-scale learning platforms, preferably OpenEdx.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and architects.
• Define and maintain platform architecture standards for scalable, highly available solutions.
• Oversee diverse data stores and architect secure API gateways and integrations.
• Manage daily platform operations, including incident, event, and change management and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive observability, monitoring, security initiatives (Zero-Trust, compliance).
• Lead AI/ML integration and scalable infrastructure for deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and represent the program area in forums.
