About the team
The Network Engineering team responsibilities include:
- Configuring and maintaining Mastercard’s global network, including datacenter, customer, and corporate networks.
- Maintaining global network standards, ensuring compliance with audits, and deploying new technologies to meet business needs.
Purpose of the position includes:
- Creating low-level network designs based on architectural standards and overseeing implementation, including documentation.
- Designing datacenter solutions to integrate customer onboarding.
- Deploying global unified communications with VOIP, Video, and QoS in regional and campus environments.

- Design solutions for merged or acquired companies to integrate with Mastercard network.
- Design, engineer, and implement complex network solutions across various disciplines.
- Research and develop innovative solutions following architectural standards for customer, datacenter, or corporate use-cases.
- Create low-level designs for new products and standards set by the architecture team.
- Develop automation tools supporting CI/CD processes.
- Provide advanced support to the Operations Command Center for troubleshooting and resolving network issues impacting customers and global performance.
All About You
- Expertise in network engineering, design, and architecture with exposure to LAN/WAN, firewalls, VOIP, QoS, Routing, and Switching technologies.
- Mastery of TCP/IP, addressing, subnetting, and IPv6.
- Firewall experience: Checkpoint and Palo Alto.
- Extensive knowledge of Cisco products: routers, switches.
- Knowledge of Aruba products: switches, ClearPass, APs.
- Ability to design and implement Arista spine-leaf architectures.
- Understanding of VMware NSX-T platform.
- Knowledge of network diagnostics, protocols, and disciplines: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, MPLS.
- Understanding security and encryption technologies, including IPSEC & GRE tunnels.
- Experience with scripting tools: git, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, Ansible.
Desirable or additional capabilities:
- Strong communication and customer support skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Professional communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience developing network designs; Cisco certifications like CCNP or CCDP are a plus.
- Experience with SD-WAN, especially VMWare NSX and Cisco ACI.
- Ability to develop solutions supporting cloud connectivity with Azure and AWS.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Math, Engineering, or equivalent education/experience.
