Job summary

Celestica Inc. is seeking an Operations Engineering Support 2 in a manufacturing setting in Malaysia. You will read schematics, troubleshoot and repair products, and set up test equipment across electro-mechanical systems.

You’ll work with BOMs and engineering docs to ensure quality and participate in testing of prototypes. You’ll perform maintenance on test equipment, assemble and modify prototype products, and communicate effectively with internal customers.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of relevant experience in manufacturing/engineering.
• Two or three year community college diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of electrical, electromechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, BOMs and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read and analyze schematic diagrams, circuit descriptions and similar technical information.
• Troubleshoot and repair failed products.
• Inspect for physical and visual quality requirements; replace faulty components.
• Set up, operate, and adjust test sets and auxiliary equipment.
• Prove tests and test sets; troubleshoot and repair test equipment/fixtures.
• Perform maintenance on electromechanical surface mount assembly equipment.
• Read Bills of Materials and related engineering docs; ensure quality standards.
• With guidance, perform testing, debugging, and design verification on new prototypes.
• Assemble, test, debug, and modify new product prototypes.
