Job summary

Season Group is seeking an experienced New Product Introduction Engineer in Malaysia to lead a team of tool makers, develop production strategies and deliver technical solutions. The role focuses on improving yield, cycle time, quality and cost while planning preventive maintenance for moulds and machines.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and order departments to optimise product quality, production throughput and equipment validation. A background in plastics/forming is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Education Level: Minimum Diploma or Degree holder in Engineering.
• Working Experience: Minimum 3-4 years working experience in related field.
• Experience in Plastic Thermoforming / Vacuum Forming Industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a group of tool makers to provide toolling/technical support to Production to achieve department goals.
• Ensure manufacturing processes operate efficiently.
• Accountable to develop strategies and execute Production process effectively.
• Provide technical solution through root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
• Involve in continuous process improvement of production activities to improve yield, cycle time, quality and cost.
• Plan and implement the preventive maintenance program for mould and machines.
• Work closely with order departments to improve product quality and productivity.
• Oversee design and operation of new equipment installations and validation of new machines.
• ECN and 4M changes for internal or customer requirements.
• Manage cost-saving, material usage and model conversion time on production.
• Implement the new product process flow and WI.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean, tidy and compliant with 5S; maintain safety.
• Any other duties assigned by superior from time to time.
