Job summary

Entegris Malaysia is seeking a Setup Technician to set up production equipment and molds, cycle presses, and guide shift personnel on operations. You will ensure parts meet quality standards and align with ISO and Entegris Quality Systems.

The role requires a diploma or technical certificate with 2+ years in plastic injection molding, strong troubleshooting, and ability to train others. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certificate required
• 2+ years experience in plastic injection molding preferred
• Basic math skills and systematic troubleshooting
• Experience operating molding equipment (MTC, robots)
• Knowledge of extrusion or molding processes
• Understanding of process control and documentation requirements
• Experience troubleshooting molding machines and auxiliary equipment
• Knowledge of SPC and its application
• Understanding of polymer processing and drying techniques
• Familiarity with injection molding tooling functions
• Strong ability to train others and improve molding skills
• Ability to provide clear feedback on tooling repairs or modifications
• Strong process-related troubleshooting capabilities
• Commitment to excellence and leadership at all levels

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove molds in presses.
• Start up and cycle production equipment with proper adjustments.
• Periodically check part quality and adjust equipment accordingly.
• Troubleshoot issues affecting part quality or production efficiency.
• Communicate information to next shift and relevant departments.
• Log process changes, press settings, and documentation promptly.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE use.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.
• Ensure products meet Entegris Quality Systems and ISO standards.
• Ensure production schedules are set up and cycled as planned.
• Verify items meet quality requirements and are handled per procedures.
• Lead the group to achieve optimal production output and efficiency.
