Job summary

SHL Consolidated Bhd is seeking a Mechanic/Foreman with experience in construction and engineering. You will oversee repairs, installations, and maintenance of heavy machinery at the Kajang site, coordinating with mechanics and foremen, ordering parts, and preparing progress reports.

The role requires at least 2 years in machinery, strong problem-solving, and good communication. Travel to Kajang site is expected and the company operates across multiple construction divisions.

Qualifications

• Higher Secondary/STPM/A Level or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a machinery field.
• Working knowledge of machinery tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Schedule repairs and order machinery parts to keep equipment functioning.
• Oversee installation of machinery and other site office equipment.
• Supervise and coordinate mechanics or foremen on repair, installation and maintenance tasks.
• Order necessary parts and supplies for job sites and ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare reports detailing progress of maintenance and work schedules; perform admin duties.
• Monitor fuel consumption for all machineries; arrange road tax renewal and PUSPAKOM inspection.
• Assist mechanics with diagnosing engine, hydraulic, electrical or pneumatic issues.
• Contact local vendors for bids on major equipment repairs.
• Travel to Kajang site as required.
