Job summary

Celestica, Inc. in Penang is seeking a Lead Engineer, Hardware Design (Electrical/Mechanical) to develop new systems, validate via tests and simulations, and support manufacturing.

You will work with customers, manufacturing engineering and project leadership to ensure robust, high-quality product development. The role involves designing electrical schematics and mechanical models, performing analyses and providing manufacturing-ready solutions, with emphasis on reliability and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in hardware design engineering.
• Ability to design and analyze electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement technical solutions in two or more technical areas. Lead smaller projects and coordinate with other engineers.
• Review and interpret customer documentation; conduct research, analysis and experiments with minimal direction from senior staff.
• Create technical proposals with solutions and timelines based on requirements.
• Research system ideas and draw up plans for these systems.
• Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs.
• Create designs in line with Celestica procedures, regulations and customer standards.
