Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Lead Discipline Engineer – Instrument / Control / Metering to lead the design, development, and delivery of instrumentation, control, and metering systems for FPSO surface facility projects in an EPC environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience, with a strong background in full-cycle FPSO projects from FEED through detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and offshore integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the instrumentation, control, and metering engineering scope for FPSO surface facilities throughout the EPC lifecycle.
- Oversee the development of key deliverables including P&IDs, control system architecture, instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, and metering system specifications.
- Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (e.g., IEC, ISA, API, ISO) and client specifications.
- Coordinate with multi-discipline teams (process, mechanical, electrical, structural) to ensure integrated and optimized designs.
- Interface with clients, vendors, and classification societies to resolve technical issues and ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Lead technical reviews, HAZOPs, FATs, and participate in constructability and operability assessments.
- Provide technical leadership during procurement, including vendor selection, technical bid evaluations, and document reviews.
- Support construction and commissioning teams with technical guidance, site queries, and punch list resolution.
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality and consistency across all instrumentation, control, and metering deliverables.
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs within budget and schedule.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, or related Engineering field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 12 years of experience in instrumentation, control, and metering engineering, with significant experience in FPSO EPC projects.
- Proven leadership in delivering full-cycle offshore projects, including topside integration and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems including DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD, and metering systems.
- Familiarity with engineering tools such as Aveva, SmartPlant Instrumentation, AutoCAD, and relevant simulation software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
