Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Lead Discipline Engineer for Subsea Commissioning to join their high-impact engineering team based in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will lead subsea commissioning activities for major deepwater developments, ensuring engineering deliverables meet safety and project standards. This position requires extensive experience in the oil and gas sector, particularly with FPSO and subsea systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
  • At least 5 years in a lead engineering or managerial role on deepwater developments.
  • Proven experience with floating facilities and subsea systems in deep waters.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all subsea commissioning activities across multiple deepwater projects.

Job description

Job Title:Lead Discipline Engineer – Subsea - Commissioning
Location:Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Project Duration:2 years (potentialextension)

Project Overview:

You will be part of a high-impact engineering team supporting major deepwater developments in Malaysia. The scope includes:

  • Deployment of a new FPSO facility
  • Installation of a mooring system
  • Hook-up of deepwater flexible risers and umbilicals
  • Tie-back of additional wells to the FPSO

Siakap North-Petai (SNP) Phase 3

  • Tie-back of additional wells to the FPSO
  • Integration of a multiphase pump system
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate all subsea commissioning activities across multiple deepwater projects.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet project specifications, safety standards, and schedule.
  • Interface with FPSO, subsea, and topside teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Support offshore commissioning and start-up activities as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum15 years of experiencein the oil & gas industry.
  • At least5 years in a lead engineering or managerial roleon deepwater developments.
  • Proven experience withfloating facilities(FPSO, FPU, FLNG, FSO) andsubsea systemsin water depths greater than 400 meters.
  • Strong knowledge of subsea commissioning, flexible risers, umbilicals, and multiphase pumping systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
