About the product / projects

• Enhancing the core product suite and localization for new markets
• Revamp on legacy codebase based on new requirements from product team
• ERM - enterprise solution to manage work flow, resource planning & billing
• Teacher Portal: Everything digital - from lesson plans to attendance records
• Parents App: Track progress, check reports, communicate with teachers

Responsibilities

• Deliver results on urgent initiatives - cost optimization on cloud infra and database audit to support both legacy and new SaaS platforms
• Improve and maintain AWS resource management - enhance CICD task flows and processes, advocate DevOps best practices
• Collaborate very closely with CTO on both technical and team decisions - you will have the ownership wether or not to build your own devops team

Team and Culture

• The engineering team is about 20 - Malaysia is the newest engineering hub with other existing engineers based in SG, ID and VT
• Results-driven environment - not suitable for those who is pursuing work-life balance, but for those who are ready to be executional & wear multiple hats
• Reporting to the CTO based in SG - he has worked for VC backed start ups

Must Have

• AWS or GCP (any other cloud platforms)
• Solid DevOps fundamentals - have set up an entire infrastructure, know how to orchestrate flows, develop and maintain CICD pipelines etc.
• Exposure to a start up / scale up / fast-changing environment
• Proactiveness, good problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to have

• Terraform
• AWS certifications / AWS Certified Developer (or any other cloud certs)
• Lead to 2 junior/mid DevOps engineers based in Vietnam
• 3+ years as a Senior Software Engineer before transitioning to DevOps

Location

• Hybrid - 3 days a week in KL office (flexible for KL engineering team)
• Office located in Platinum Sentral - accessible via MRT
