Job summary

Jabil in Malaysia (Penang) is seeking a data scientist to join its AI/ML team. You will collaborate with ML Ops, R&D, and business users to collect, analyze, interpret data sets and build AI/ML models to drive optimization and improvement of product development.

As part of the AI/ML team, you will help develop custom data models and algorithms for data sets and coordinate with functions to implement and monitor outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python or R.
• Strong statistics knowledge.
• Familiar with regression, classification and clustering models.
• Familiar with NLP or Generative AI models.
• Good data sensitivity and analytical mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work in teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML cases with proper planning and execution to deliver cases and drive efficiency for Manufacturing.
• Design or build dashboards using generative AI tools or related tech.
• Support model training, fine-tuning, and deployment workflows, ensuring AI/ML systems are monitored and integrated as per business needs.
• Identify patterns with ML/Generative AI models during training and apply insights to inferencing.
• Educate the organization on Generative AI, machine learning, and AI computer vision concepts.
