Job summary

Elsa Talent seeks a senior Mechanical Engineer to develop and lead commissioning for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with quality procedures and industry standards. The role requires coordinating testing, start-up activities, and turnover materials while guiding the team through problem resolution and design code adherence.

The successful candidate will oversee planning, document control, and field inspections to ensure smooth handover to Operations and adherence to oil and gas industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering/commissioning experience, including 3+ years in a similar role.
• Must be registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).

Responsibilities

• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules for mechanical systems.
• Lead the commissioning team during testing, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Ensure compliance with project quality procedures, including document control, change control, materials control, field inspection, and testing procedures.
• Coordinate mechanical inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare and manage turnover documentation for the formal handover of completed systems to the Operations team.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve mechanical issues during commissioning and start-up.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with applicable mechanical standards, design codes, project specifications, and oil and gas industry practices.
