As the Indochina Lead – Business Development, you will be at the forefront of expanding Orica’s market position, driving financial success, and securing high-value accounts across diverse markets.
Your mission:
Win and retain key accounts, including existing clients, competitor-held positions, and greenfield opportunities.

1. Minimum 8 years experience post professional qualification including 3 years management experience
2. Regional Regulatory Knowledge
• Deep understanding of mining laws, environmental regulations, and permitting processes across Indochina.
• Awareness of local content requirements, government policies, and licensing frameworks.
3. Mining Industry Expertise
• Solid grasp of exploration, development, and production processes in mining.
• Familiarity with commodities relevant to the region (e.g. gold, copper, coal, etc).
• Awareness of industry supply chains, ESG standards, and safety practices.
3. Cross-Cultural Communication & Local Networks
• Experience working with diverse cultures and languages in Southeast Asia.
• Strong local business and government network—or ability to build one quickly.
• Ability to work with local partners, suppliers, and consultants.
4. Strategic Partnerships & Deal-Making
• Proven ability to identify and negotiate partnerships, deals, and agreements.
• Comfortable with cross-border legal frameworks and multi-party negotiations.
5. Mobility & On-Ground Presence
• Willingness to travel extensively across Indochina, often to remote areas.
• Ability to operate independently in developing markets with less infrastructure or support.
