Job summary

Private Advertiser in Sabah is seeking an Automotive Mechanic Supervisor to oversee workshop operations, diagnose and repair complex vehicle faults across engine, transmission, electrical, braking, and suspension systems. You will lead junior technicians, document repairs, and ensure compliance with manufacturer specs and safety standards.

The role requires a Diploma in Automotive Technology or Automotive Engineering and a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, with strong diagnostic skills

Qualifications

• Diploma in Automotive Technology, Automotive Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 8 years of relevant automotive repair and diagnostic experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and repair techniques.
• Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and interpret technical information.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical vehicle faults.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment and specialized tools to identify technical issues.
• Conduct road tests to verify vehicle performance before and after repairs.
• Supervise, guide, and provide technical support to junior technicians.
• Prepare accurate technical reports, repair documentation, and service records.
• Investigate and assist in resolving customer technical concerns and complaints.
• Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer guidelines, workshop procedures, and safety regulations.
