Job summary

Chemcastle Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manager, Application Security to strengthen our enterprise security posture in a hands-on role. You will perform penetration testing, secure code reviews, SCA, container image assurance, and vulnerability assessments, while supporting MAS TRM and BNM RMiT compliance.

You will triage findings, work with Dev and Ops teams for remediation, and embed security controls (SAST/DAST/IAST) into CI/CD. Strong tooling experience and certifications are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CREST, OSCP+, OSEP, or GPEN.
• 7+ years of IT security experience with 4+ years in project-based penetration testing.
• Hands-on experience in secure code reviews, software composition analysis, and containment.
• Strong knowledge of web, mobile, and API security incl. OWASP Top 10.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Perform secure code reviews, software composition analysis, and container image assurance.
• Carry out vulnerability assessments for applications and supporting systems.
• Utilise Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Fortify, Checkmarx, Nessus, and Qualys to identify issues.
• Triage, validate, and prioritise security findings from assessments.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infra teams for remediation.
• Track remediation progress and ensure timely closure per regulatory standards.
• Provide guidance on secure coding practices to developers and teams.
• Embed SAST/DAST/IAST controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain security documentation and evidence for audits and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory obligations, and best practices.
• Support audits, risk assessments, and regulatory inspections.
