Job summary

Great Eastern is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (AI Enabled Solutions) to collaborate with business users, analysts, PMs, and stakeholders, delivering AI-enhanced projects on time and to high quality standards.

You will design, develop, and integrate AI features, build RAG pipelines with LLMs, and ensure robust production deployments across cloud platforms, while mentoring teams and maintaining architectural integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Insurance, or related area preferred.
• 8 to 12 years of relevant professional experience, including 2+ years integrating AI/LLM features into production apps.
• Advanced design and programming abilities with Java/J2EE and server-side tech (Struts, Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs).
• Strong SQL/PLSQL background; capability to work with microservices architecture.
• Experience in AI-assisted tools, LLMs, RAG pipelines, and production cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, deployment, and post‑deployment verification of AI-enabled solutions.
• Integrate AI technologies into core app development processes using AI-assisted tools and LLMs.
• Review code, mentor teams, and ensure timely delivery of enhancements and new features.
• Oversee deployment, monitoring, and optimization on cloud platforms; manage costs and safety measures.
