Job summary

Axiata Digital Labs is seeking an experienced Ericsson Core Network Architect to design and optimize 4G/5G core solutions in a cloud-native environment.

The role focuses on creating scalable, secure architectures, leading CNF/VNF deployments, and ensuring interoperability with existing systems while driving performance and lifecycle management across projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and document architectures for customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of telecom core network architecture, design, or deployment.
• Strong expertise in Ericsson 4G/5G Core Network technologies and 3GPP standards.
• Experience with CNFs, VNFs, and cloud-native platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Proficiency in network analysis and troubleshooting tools like Wireshark.
• Knowledge of scripting or data analytics tools (Python/SQL/Tableau) a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and telecom delivery best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop HLDs/LLDs for Ericsson 4G/5G core networks (SA/NSA).
• Lead deployment, integration, and configuration of CNFs and VNFs in cloud-native environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Drive capacity planning, performance optimization, and lifecycle management.
• Plan and execute software upgrades and system enhancements with minimal service impact.
• Troubleshoot signaling and user-plane issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Support network integration, interoperability, and end-to-end validation activities.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, security requirements, and Ericsson best practices.
• Prepare architecture diagrams and implementation guides.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams during customer engagements.
