Job summary

Air Products invites applications for a driver position in Malaysia, focusing on distribution and delivery operations. The role emphasizes safety, accurate record-keeping, and responsive communication with the control room to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.

Ideal candidates will hold a Class E license, have at least 3 years of experience in commercial driving, and demonstrate strong customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Should have a Class E driving license with strong defensive driving skills and at least 3 years as a commercial vehicle driver.
• Service oriented with good communication.
• Ability to assess road conditions and provide timely feedback to control room.

Responsibilities

• Follow Distribution Manual procedures.
• Safeguard company and customers’ property and report losses or defects.
• Attend driver training and comply with EH&S requirements.
• Comply with health and safety laws governing hazardous substance transport and protect operator’s license.
• Assist with delivery route planning based on orders.
• Provide holiday and sickness coverage at depots.
• Perform simple repairs on customer installations as requested.
• Enter delivery information into PDT/MOBY or computer systems.
• Complete paperwork professionally (trip reports, vehicle inspections).
• Carry out other reasonable tasks as required.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To follow the procedures as defined in Distribution Manual.
• To safeguard company and customers’ property assigned to them, or utilized in the course of their duties and report loss or defects immediately to the company.
• To comply with Air Products EH&S requirement and attend drivers training program provided by Air Products.
• To comply with Health and Safety law and all pertinent laws governing the driving of commercial vehicles carrying a hazardous substance or not. To take precautions to safeguard the company’s operator’s license.
• To assist with the planning of delivery route, based upon the order received.
• To provide holiday and sickness coverage at depots station.
• To perform simple repair of customer installation as requested.
• Input delivery information into the PDT/MOBY or computer.
• Complete any paperwork in professional manner such as trip report and vehicle inspection checklist.
• To carry out any other reasonable task as required.

Job Requirements

• Should possess a Class E driving license with good defensive driving skill and employed as commercial vehicle drivers no less than 3 years.
• Service oriented, with good communication skill.
• Have strong assessment of road condition and provide timely feedback and updates to control room for necessary action, if required
