Hidden Gems Talent is sourcing a Backend Developer for a Singapore-based IT SaaS platform. You will work directly with Lead Engineers and the Founder to build and scale backend systems powering their platform, solving complex problems for remote IT operations globally.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional PHP/Laravel backend experience.
• Proven RESTful API design and security experience.
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns and clean code.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and query optimization.
• Familiarity with AWS services for deployment and monitoring.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Scale: Build and maintain robust, scalable backend systems using PHP (Laravel).
• Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented, and testable code that sets a standard for their team.
• Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into high-performance technical solutions.
• Mentor: Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
• Maintain: Proactively monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
• Optimize: Deploy applications via AWS and continuously refine their DevOps and CI/CD practices.
