Job description

Oversee the installation and maintenance of landscaping at Internal and External Mall, ensuring all plants, trees, and lawn areas are properly placed, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing.

Develop and implement irrigation schedules and systems to maintain optimal soil moisture levels for various plant types, adjusting for seasonal changes and weather conditions.

Coordinate with Landscape Contractor to understand vision and requirements for landscape, providing expert advice on design, plant selection, and maintenance.

Manage and train landscaping staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and protocols.

Inspect and assess the health of plants and soil, diagnosing and treating issues such as disease, pests, or nutrient deficiencies.

Negotiate contracts with suppliers for the procurement of plants, materials, and landscaping equipment, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

Design and implement soil erosion and water runoff management plans for landscapes, incorporating sustainable practices and materials to protect natural resources and comply with environmental regulations.

Schedule and adjust watering cycles based on weather conditions and plant needs to conserve water resources while maintaining healthy landscapes.

Recognize and differentiate plant species to make informed decisions regarding plant placement, care, and landscape design. Selecting the right plants for specific soil, light, and climate conditions promotes health and sustainability.

Create visually appealing and sustainable outdoor and indoor spaces, requiring a thorough understanding of plant species, horticultural practices, and design principles.

Implement control measures for pests and diseases using eco-friendly options to maintain landscape health and aesthetics, while promoting environmental stewardship.

Coordinate and motivate a diverse team of landscapers to complete projects efficiently and uphold high standards. Effective communication, task delegation, and fostering teamwork are essential.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Landscape, Horticultural Science, Agriculture or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates or at least one (1) year related working experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
