Job description
Operational Planning & Execution
  • Develop and implement weekly, monthly, and annual landscape maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules with UiTM’s operational and academic calendar.
Supervision & Quality Control
  • Conduct daily inspections of grounds, turf, trees, shrubs, and hardscape areas.
  • Verify subcontractor works against contract specifications and industry standards.
  • Issue non-conformance reports and enforce corrective actions.
Compliance & KPI Management
  • Ensure rectification of hazards within prescribed KPI timelines:
    • Low-risk hazards (5.4): ≤ 24 hours.
    • Unscheduled requests (5.5): ≤ 3 working days.
    • Routine/planned works (5.6): ≤ 7 days.
  • Maintain full documentation (PPM and Work Order), including photographic records.
Horticultural & Technical Expertise
  • Oversee turf management, pruning, fertilization, irrigation, mulching, and plant health.
  • Implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and monitor pesticide applications in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Advise on remedial works, replanting, and landscape enhancements.
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Provide weekly operational reports and KPI dashboards to the Head of Maintenance and Client.
  • Act as the technical focal point for UiTM on all landscape-related matters, including event preparations and special requests.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum Diploma in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, or horticultural supervision. (fresh graduate can apply)
Technical Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of horticultural practices, including turf care, pruning, planting, irrigation, and pest control.
  • Familiar with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and compliance with relevant environmental and safety regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and enforce contract specifications, quality standards, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Proficient in report writing, data tracking, and use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
