Job Purpose
The Landscape Cum Irrigation Wireman is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring systems within golf course grounds, including clubhouses, irrigation systems, and other electrical infrastructure. The role ensures all electrical systems are functioning properly and safely to support daily operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Installation of Electrical Systems:
- Install wiring for lighting systems on the golf course, including pathway lights, landscape lighting, and floodlights for evening play.
- Maintain electrical systems for irrigation, ensuring efficient operation of sprinklers and watering schedules.
- Install and maintain wiring for maintenance offices and other facilities.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems in the clubhouse, maintenance areas, and across the golf course grounds.
- Diagnose and repair faulty wiring, malfunctioning circuits, and electrical issues in all areas of the course.
- Address electrical issues related to golf course equipment such as automated water feature pumps.
- Golf Course Infrastructure:
- Install and maintain wiring for clubhouse landscape lighting.
- Ensure all electrical systems are operational.
- Assist with wiring and setup for events, including special lighting or temporary electrical installations.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety codes and local regulations.
- Implement safety protocols when working with high-voltage equipment or outdoors.
- Use appropriate PPE and adhere to safety standards in diverse weather conditions.
- Collaboration with Golf Course Maintenance Team:
- Work with maintenance personnel to ensure proper installation and functioning of electrical systems.
- Communicate with management regarding electrical needs or upgrades for operations or events.
- Upgrades and Renovations:
- Assist with upgrading or expanding electrical infrastructure during course renovations.
- Recommend and implement energy-efficient systems like LED lighting or automated irrigation and lighting systems.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and electrical layouts.
- Prepare reports on electrical system conditions and suggest improvements or upgrades.
Qualifications include wireman certification or equivalent, vocational training in electrical work, and preferred experience in wiring installation.
