Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Effectively and competently perform sample pre-treatment or preparation of microbiological / chemical analysis.
  2. Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with ISO 17025, SAMM Policy, laboratory’s QA/QC system, and SGS GCSC requirements.

Specific Responsibilities

  1. Perform basic laboratory tests according to approved test methods or procedures.
  2. Assist Microbiologist or Chemist in carrying out laboratory testing, method development, and compliance with QA/QC requirements.
  3. Maintain Good Housekeeping and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) in the laboratory.
  4. Ensure that sample preparation equipment is used and maintained properly.
  5. Accurately record all relevant raw data or test information in the designated raw data sheets or manual logbooks.
  6. Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) local regulations (Occupational Safety and Health Act 1996, Factory and Machinery Act 1967, Environmental Quality Act 1974).
  7. Report any hazards, risks, near-misses, and incidents in the Crystal system.
  8. Ensure that all Operational Integrity Management System (OIMS) requirements are met.
