Job description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively and competently perform sample pre-treatment or preparation, microbiological / chemical analysis.
  • Ensure all activities comply with ISO 17025, SAMM Policy, laboratory’s QA/QC system, and SGS GCSC requirements.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform basic laboratory tests according to approved methods or procedures.
  • Assist Microbiologist or Chemist in laboratory testing, method development, and QA/QC compliance.
  • Maintain Good Housekeeping and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of sample preparation equipment.
  • Accurately record all raw data and test information in the designated logs or data sheets.
  • Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations (Occupational Safety and Health Act 1996, Factory and Machinery Act 1967, Environmental Quality Act 1974).
  • Report hazards, risks, near-misses, and incidents via the Crystal system.
  • Meet all Operational Integrity Management System (OIMS) requirements.

Qualifications

  • Fresh graduates with a Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Biological Sciences, or related fields are welcome to apply.
