Job description

Laboratory Technician Compounding Pharmacy

Responsibilities:

  • Mix, measure, and prepare customized medications (e.g., creams, capsules, troches, suspensions).
  • Follow strict formulation guidelines and safety protocols to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Operate specialized equipment, including mortar & pestle, and capsule fillers.
  • Perform daily compounding tasks using a computerized compounding system, ensuring accurate weighing, recording, and mixing of ingredients.

Quality Control & Compliance:

  • Ensure all compounded medications meet pharmaceutical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to Good Compounding Practices (GCP) and comply with regulations.
  • Follow strict quality control procedures and professional dispensing processes.

Inventory & Documentation:

  • Manage stock levels of raw materials and ingredients to ensure availability.
  • Label and package medications accurately in compliance with regulations.
  • Record formulations and batch logs for compliance and traceability.
  • Clean and maintain compounding tools and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensure laboratory cleanliness, organization, and systematic storage conditions.
  • Follow safety protocols, SOPs, and cleanroom standards to maintain a professional and compliant work environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to laboratory protocols.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, or equivalent.
