Responsibilities

• Compound prescriptions according to formulations.
• Check expiry dates of compounding ingredients.
• Use laboratory equipment properly in a clean environment.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the lab and equipment.
• Calibrate scales and electronic meters.
• Follow safety guidelines for medication preparation.
• Assist in stock take of ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Follow proprietary formulations to compound commercially unavailable prescriptions into appropriate dosage form.
• Routinely check expiry of compounding ingredients.
• Properly use all equipment in the laboratory that is necessary to make the compound in a clean work environment.
• Ensure the lab and related equipment are cleaned and maintained according to our standard operating procedures.
• Calibration and proper documentation of scales, electronic meters etc.
• Follow all safety guidelines for preparation of compounded medications.
• assist in monthly stock take of compounding ingredients.
