Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
  1. Effectively and competently perform sample pre-treatment or preparation microbiological / chemical analysis.
  2. Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with the ISO 17025, SAMM Policy, laboratory’s QA/QC system and SGS GCSC requirement.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES
  1. Perform basic laboratory tests in accordance with approved test methods or procedures.
  2. Assist Microbiologist or Chemist in carrying out laboratory testing, method development and compliance with QA/QC requirements.
  3. Ensure Good Housekeeping and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) in the laboratory.
  4. Ensure that sample preparation equipment is used and maintained properly.
  5. Ensure all relevant raw data or test information is correctly and accurately recorded in the provided raw data sheet or manual log book.
  6. Comply with all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) local regulations (Occupational Safety and Health Act 1996, Factory and Machinery Act 1967, Environmental Quality Act 1974).
  7. Report any hazard/risk, near-miss and incident in the Crystal system.
  8. Ensure that all Operational Integrity Management System (OIMS) requirements are met.
  9. Adhere to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by upholding good safety behavior and exercising necessary standards and processes while carrying out responsibilities to ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
  10. Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your reporting manager and/or Senior Management.
Qualifications
PROFILE
  1. Minimum education SPM in any field.
  2. Fresh graduates from Diploma/Degree in Chemistry or Biological Science related fields are welcome to apply.
  3. 1-3 years’ laboratory experience in related activities is preferred.
  4. Good personality and a good team leader.
