LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis of raw materials, process intermediate, finished products, competitor samples, boiler water, and effluent according to standard test methods.
• Responsible for the preparation and standardization of reagents and indicators.
• Responsible for calibration, usage, and maintenance of laboratory instruments/equipment.
• Compile test data into laboratory database system accurately.
• Responsible for preparing and maintaining the retained samples.
• Assist in maintaining and handling general upkeep of documents to meet ISO standards.
• Receive and/or collect samples.
• Maintain inventory record of chemicals, apparatus, consumables, etc.
• Implement laboratory waste disposal.
• Prepare samples for external testing, customers, customs, etc.
• Responsible for overall housekeeping of the laboratory.

Requirements:

• Preferably those with a Diploma in Chemistry or should have a minimum of 2 years in QC laboratory experience.
• Experience in ISO 9001 is an advantage.
• Able to work shifts, under pressure, and perform within tight deadlines.
