Job Vacancy: Research Lab Technologist

We are looking for a Research Lab Technologist to join the Centre for Sustainable Technologies (CST).

Eligibility Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering, or Science with 2+ years of relevant experience.

(Candidates with a Master’s or Ph.D. seeking an interim opportunity are also welcome to apply.)

• Proven track record in laboratory operations, safety protocols, and research project support.

• Independent, proactive, with strong problem-solving and coordination skills.

• Sarawakians preferred.

• A Chemistry undergraduate degree is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support to the research group, including evaluation and approval of research-related documents.

• Manage procurement and centralised inventory for chemicals, consumables, and equipment for CST.

• Oversee lab safety training, equipment handling, and project setups under CST.

• Collaborate with research groups to ensure project deliverables and reporting are aligned.

Terms of Employment

• Contract basis: 6 to 12 months (renewal subject to performance).

• Expected start date: Immediate (depending on experience and qualifications).

• Salary range: RM 3,000 – RM 4,500 per month.
