Job summary

Orion Technology Sdn Bhd in Penang invites applications for a Laboratory Inspector for Material, Process & Manufacturing (Silicone/Polymer). You will sample and test incoming raw materials and packaging, perform routine analyses according to SOPs, and operate lab equipment to assess physical and mechanical properties.

You should hold a Diploma in Material Science, Polymer Material, Chemistry or related field. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required; Chinese is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Material Science, Polymer Material, Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; prior laboratory or instrumentation experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Chinese is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test incoming raw materials and packaging materials
• Perform daily routine analysis (IQC, IPQC and OQC) according to standard test method or SOP
• Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment on physical and mechanical properties, such as tensile tester, rheometer, colorimeter etc.
• Perform in-process line check according to checklist
• Perform internal calibration of laboratory equipment according to schedule
• Perform other ad hoc testing upon request
• Perform 5s, daily housekeeping and ensure cleanliness of the laboratory is well maintained
