  • Diploma or Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of working experience in a food microbiology lab or food manufacturing environment.
  • Familiar with microbiological techniques and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000).
  • Good understanding of laboratory safety and aseptic techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Excel and basic data entry.
  • Perform microbiological testing on food products, water, swabs, and raw materials (e.g., Total Plate Count, Yeast & Mold, E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria, etc.).
  • Prepare culture media, reagents, and other laboratory materials required for testing.
  • Carry out environmental monitoring (e.g., air, surface, equipment swabs) in compliance with GMP and food safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all lab analyses, test results, and observations.
  • Ensure timely reporting and interpretation of results to QA and Production teams.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable performance.
  • Assist in method validation and continuous improvement of testing procedures.
  • Support shelf-life studies and product development trials from the microbiological perspective.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment at all times.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
  • Verify lab testing and COA before product release.
