About the role

As a Lab Technician at R&M Electronics Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic components and products. In this full-time position based in Bayan Lepas, Penang, you will be responsible for conducting a range of tests and analyses to maintain our high standards of excellence.

Component Sourcing and Support

o Assist engineers in sourcing electronic components and mechanical parts

o Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing, lead times and verify specifications.

ERP BOM management

o Create, update, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) in the ERP system.

o Ensure version control and maintain accurate records for product assemblies.

o Support engineers in system setup and commissioning at customer sites.

o Provide basic troubleshooting and operational training during commissioning.

Lab operations

o Operate standard lab equipment such as soldering stations, multimeters, power supplies, and basic mechanical tools.

o Ensure lab safety, maintain equipment upkeep, and manage tool inventory.

Requirement

- Candidate must possess at least Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical/E&E/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.

- Basic understanding of BOM structure and ERP systems (experience with Navision is a plus).

- Good in MS Office (Excel, Words, PowerPoint).

- Hands-on experience with tools and workshop environment.

- Willingness to travel or work on-site (local) when required.

- Good communication skills and team player.
