Job summary

Job Brief

Assist the Food Development and Application Department in product research, development, and application.

Job Responsibilities

Principle Function

  • Assist the Food Development and Application Department in product research, development, and application.
  • Assist in Food Development and Application Department in handling halal application and sensory preparation.

Responsibility & Authority

  • Perform laboratory scale production of the prototype for new or improved products.
  • Responsible in conducting scale up tests from laboratory scale up to commercial plant scale.
  • Carry out necessary physical and chemical properties on the prototype products according to approved Standard Operating Procedures including shelf life, flow ability, size distribution, specific volume and others.
  • Prepare and send samples for analysis to Q.C. Lab, Bio-Lab, or any other analytical laboratories as instructed.
  • Calculate, prepare and maintain test data and analysis reports in a systematic manner.
  • Prepare and pack product samples for internal stock and distribution to customers.
  • Participate in internal and external sensory tests.
  • Ensure that raw material are used economically, labelled and preserved properly.
  • Ensure that all equipment and tools are used correctly, maintained in good working order and stored in their proper places.
  • Carry out packaging and packing test follow instruction and experiment design by related executive and supervisor.
  • Monitor the internal sample request form in systematic manner.
  • Participate and follow 5S activities.
  • Participate in safety and environment activities and follow its rules

Job Requirements

Job Requirement:

  • Candidate should possess a Diploma / Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Food Technology / Nutrition / Dietetics
  • Preferably at least 1 year of related working experience.
  • Preferably Non Executive specializing in Science / R&D / Research or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills in English,Malay language for both spoken and written
