Job summary

A leading chemicals company is seeking a laboratory technician in Port Klang, Malaysia. The technician will handle samples, maintain equipment, manage data, and ensure safety compliance. Candidates should have at least an SPM to Diploma in Science/Engineering, be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and be familiar with ISO standards. This role requires independent work and a good attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM to Diploma in Science/Engineering.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin/Japanese is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 requirements.
• Able to work independently with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze samples using various techniques.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Manage lab records and prepare reports.
• Ensure safety and compliance in the workspace.
• Assist in developing new tests and procedures.

• Sample Handling and Testing:Collecting, preparing, and analyzing samples using various techniques and equipment.
• Equipment Maintenance:Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
• Data Management:Recording data, managing lab records, and preparing reports.
• Safety and Compliance:Adhering to safety guidelines, managing chemical storage, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
• Technical Support:Assisting with the development of new tests and procedures.

Requirements

• Possesses min SPM to Diploma in Science/ Engineering field.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, ability to speak Mandarin / Japanese would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 requirement.
• Able to work independently & with good working attitude.
