The role involves conducting tests and analysis in a lab setting, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining equipment. Ideal candidates will possess a related diploma and experience in laboratory work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in related field or equivalent knowledge.
• Experience in handling lab equipment.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Carry out filter, media, and material testing according to procedure.
• Perform data analysis and interpretation for testing.
• Prepare reports for testing and maintain laboratory housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities include:
• To meet Camfil Malaysia Sdn Bhd's manufacturing policy, objectives and goals.
• Carry out filter, media, and material testing according to procedure with minimal guidance from the laboratory chemist.
• To perform test rig validation as required against reference filter with minimal guidance by Laboratory Chemist.
• To perform data analysis and interpretation for testing with result template guidance by Laboratory Chemist.
• To prepare reports for testing that have a report template with guidance from a Laboratory Chemist.
• To prepare samples for internal and external laboratory analysis with minimal guidance by Laboratory Chemist.
• To scrap filter, material and disposal of waste according to procedure.
• Assist Laboratory Chemist.
• Maintain housekeeping of the laboratory.
• Responsible for lab consumables and gas inventory updates.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment at all times.
• Maintain and upkeep the test equipment at all times.
• To implement proper chemical handling and equipment handling.
• To ensure proper documentation recording and filling.
• Comply to laboratory safety rules and practices.
• Ensure the retained sample and stored material /goods are identified, allocated, preserved and protected at the proper manner and environment.
• To ensure compliance with regulatory bodies' requirements, internal procedures and any relevant legislation governing the testing.
• Responsible for all Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, Energy and Laboratory activities.
• To occasionally perform any other duties assigned by your superior/company.

Authority & Control

• To stop the experiments/testing if any unsafe conditions and inform the Laboratory Manager, Laboratory Chemist or Engineer.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering (Chemical/Material/Mechanical/Environmental), Chemistry or equivalent competence gained in other ways.
• Min 1 year of working experience in the related field or equivalent knowledge level.
• Experience in handling lab equipment.
• Computer literate.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Responsible, committed and good working attitude.
