A leading company in Malaysia seeks a Laboratory Assistant with a diploma in Chemistry and 2 years of experience in laboratory settings. You will be responsible for analyzing samples, adhering to safety standards, and managing lab tasks independently. Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential for this role.
1. Diploma in Chemistry or related fields.
2. Minimum 2 years working experience in Laboratory and having a strong knowledge in oils and fats industry.
3. Strong technical knowledge in handling lab equipment such as Karl Fischer and Colorimeter.
4. Good communication skills with all level and self-starter.
5. Able to independently in the absence of a supervisor and chemist.
6. Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and spoken)
Responsibilities:
1. Analyse samples as per stated in Quality Plan including In-coming, In-process and Out-going inspection.
2. Facilitate and follow up a corrective and preventive action taken pertaining to any non-conformance product found in any stage of inspection.
3. Adheres and assurance safety in operating the equipment and handling of hazardous chemical and reagents.
4. Update all retained sample for all incoming, in-process and dispatch samples.
5. Provide samples for customer as per Dept Head’s requirement with traceability records.
6. Assist independent surveyor to do inspection and sampling.
7. Checking the quality of empty drums received is in good condition.
8. Managing all related R&D analysis given by Chemist.
9. To make sure all lab equipment is working and well operated.
10. Monitoring of chemicals and reagents for daily usage.
12. Maintain proper filling system for analysis records to facilitate ease of retrieval.
13. Compile all daily report from each department to allow monitoring of the production status and stock status by managers.
14. Maintain and review all Laboratory quality procedure and instruction which and whenever required.
15. Maintain the housekeeping and cleanliness of working area in order to provide a safe, efficient and conducive working environment for employees.
