Job summary

UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced L3 Production Support professional to handle end‑to‑end software development and production fixes for AS400/RPG banking applications. You will coordinate analysis, design, development, testing and live support for group‑level transitions.

The role requires a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, at least 6 years in banking IT, and proficiency with IBM AS400, RPG, COBOL and CL.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar domain; Additional qualifications will be advantageous.
• At least 6 years’ experience in relevant Banking applications / Information Technology.
• Proficient in IBM AS400 platform, RPG, COBOL, CL programming.
• Good understanding and experience in SDLC or AGILE.
• Well-versed in service management or production support’s process flow and cycle.
• Experience leading a small team and providing guidance to junior developers.
• Knowledge of Silverlake’s banking software suite is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end software development and support for all work transitioned from Group (specialised and focus on L3 production fixes). This includes analysis and design to development, implementation, testing and support and you will be expected to manage production problems and incidents.
• Quality assurance of the team delivery in conformance to the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools.
• Act as the focal point of contact for technical resolutions while managing the incident, problem and knowledge management processes for the applications in scope.
• Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues.
• Manage 3rd party product vendors and integration partners to ensure application code fix deliveries are timely and good quality.
• Design appropriate metrics for reporting on key performance and quality indicators.
• Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
• Work with production support team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
• Work with business stakeholders to manage and prioritize the overall book of work in terms of problem remediation.
• Contribute to improvement initiatives relating to methods, tools, people, architecture, project management and governance.

Job Responsibilities
