Job summary

Adecco is assisting a multinational client in Kuala Lumpur to hire a Core Services Developer for KYC. The role requires 3+ years of experience in application development within a financial technology environment, with strong SQL skills and Unix Shell Scripting.

You will develop, maintain, and support core service applications across Unix, Linux, and Windows platforms, participate in SDLC, manage batch processing, and work with cross‑functional teams to deliver compliant KYC/AML solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in application development and support.
• Mandatory experience in Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.
• Understanding of AML and Financial Crime Compliance concepts is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, data analysis, and database troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience with Unix Shell Scripting.
• Good understanding of Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
• Experience in application support, troubleshooting, incident management, and resolution.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and application deployment processes.
• Strong understanding of batch processing and operational support.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support core service applications and related system components.
• Design, develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.
• Develop and maintain Unix Shell Scripts for automation, batch processing, monitoring, and operational support.
• Perform application deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and support across Unix, Linux, and Windows environments.
• Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement timely resolutions.
• Support system integration activities and data processing workflows.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and technical teams to deliver project requirements.
• Participate in system testing, performance tuning, and release management activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support guides.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security requirements, standards, and development best practices.
