Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Versatile Creation Sdn. Bhd. 201801011153 (1273169-A) seeks a skilled translator/interpreter to convert Korean, English and Bahasa Malaysia content accurately.

You will perform consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in meetings, translate technical documents, and proofsheets while supporting project teams. A Bachelor or Diploma in Korean language and TOPIK level 4 are required. Experience in construction or manufacturing is advantageous.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interpret or translate between Korean, English and Bahasa Malaysia for in-house staff.
• Provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation in meetings, calls, and webinars.
• Translate technical documents and other forms between the languages.
• Proofread, edit, and revise translated materials.
• Provide administrative support to project teams.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as required by Management.

Job description

Responsible to interpret written or spoken material into one or more other languages (Korean to English and Bahasa Malaysia or Vice versa) ensures meaning, context and technical wording are maintained.

Job Responsibilities

• Interpret or translate verbal and written communications between Korean, English and Bahasa Malaysia languages for in-house staff.
• Provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation between the languages in the meetings such as phone/web conference, in-house staff meeting, etc.
• Translate technical documentation and other documents, including forms, SOP, email etc. between the aforementioned languages.
• Responsible to proof-read, edit and revise translated materials.
• Provide administrative supports to the project teams.
• Any ad-hoc duties as and when assigned from time to time by the Management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Korean Language or any field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experiences as Korean translator.
• Minimum of Level 4 Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK).
• Fluent in verbal and written communication skills in Korean are required.
• Experienced working in construction or manufacturing will be an added advantage.
