Gleneagles Hospital in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Korean Translator (Locum) for on-site, full-time employment to support patients, doctors and hospital staff with accurate Korean-English communication.

The role involves assisting Korean-speaking patients with registration, consultations, admissions, and discharge, ensuring smooth service delivery and clear communication with healthcare teams. Locum basis may include weekends or public holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
• Proficient in Korean and English (spoken and written).
• Proficiency in additional languages will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer service experience will be an added advantage.
• Able to work on a locum / temporary basis, including weekends and public holidays when required.

Responsabilités

• Provide Korean translation and interpretation support for patients, doctors and hospital staff.
• Assist Korean-speaking patients with registration, consultation, admission, discharge and related hospital processes.
• Facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Assist Korean-speaking patients, corporate clients and visitors with enquiries and hospital-related services.
• Provide assistance and information to patients and visitors regarding hospital services and facilities.
• Perform administrative and related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
