Job summary

Role within Dentsu based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Responsible for overseeing the accounting and finance activities for assigned entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with corporate and statutory requirements.

This permanent position supports the Singapore Finance team from Malaysia. Key duties include preparing journals and month-end entries, bank reconciliations, and coordination with Commercial Finance, AR and AP teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.
• Audit and/or tax experience is a strong advantage.
• Candidates with media agency industry and from shared services background will be an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office applications; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and finance activities; ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to understand requirements and set expectations.
• Escalate issues promptly with action plans for resolution.
• Support junior team members and provide escalation for complex queries.
• Prepare journals, month-end accruals, and bank reconciliation.
