Kitchen Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced F&B environment. The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory experience, strong food safety knowledge, and excellent leadership skills.

  1. Responsibilities:
  2. Supervise day-to-day kitchen activities to ensure efficient workflow.
  3. Coordinate food preparation and cooking according to menu standards and quality.
  4. Assist in managing and training kitchen staff, including chefs, assistants, and cleaners.
  5. Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation consistency.
  6. Enforce compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  7. Conduct routine checks on cleanliness, equipment, and food storage.
  8. Oversee inventory management, including stock levels and ingredient usage, reporting shortages to the Head Chef.
  9. Support receipt, inspection, and organization of deliveries.
  10. Assist in staff scheduling, discipline, attendance, and punctuality.
  11. Collaborate with front-of-house and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  12. Address minor customer feedback professionally and promptly.
  13. Maintain accurate records in accordance with health regulations and SOPs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or senior kitchen role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff.
  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, inventory management, and SOPs.
