Job summary

103 Coffee is hiring a Kitchen Helper to support daily kitchen operations, prepping ingredients and maintaining hygiene to meet SOP standards. The role requires ability to follow recipes, manage mise en place, and work with fast pace across BOH/FOH teams.

Candidates should be able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays, with English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency; Chinese is a plus. Experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Kitchen/F&B experience is an advantage but not required.
• Willing to learn and follow instructions and SOPs.
• Good teamwork, discipline and sense of responsibility.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese will be an added advantage.
• High demand for personal flexibility.
• Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Support daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients and food, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and ensuring food is prepared according to 103 Coffee's quality and SOP standards.
• Prepare ingredients and mise en place for daily operations.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, portioning and presentation standards.
• Ensure food quality, freshness and consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, equipment and kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety, storage, labelling, FIFO/FEFO and shelf-life requirements.
• Monitor preparation and stock levels and inform the Kitchen PIC of shortages.
• Minimise food wastage and handle ingredients properly.
• Complete opening, closing and cleaning duties.
• Work closely with the BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth service.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and support other kitchen stations when required.
• Participate in OJT, training and competency assessments.
