Qualifications

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join the team at Pusat Jagaan Permata Ceria in Puchong, Selangor. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners during their crucial early childhood development years. As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where children aged 4-6 years can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver age-appropriate lessons and educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional and physical development
• Create a safe, welcoming and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity and curiosity
• Assess children's progress and development, maintaining detailed records and providing regular feedback to parents and guardians
• Implement classroom routines and behavioural management strategies that support positive discipline and emotional regulation
• Conduct engaging storytelling, music, art and craft sessions to develop language, fine motor skills and creative expression
• Supervise and support children during play-based learning activities, meal times and transitions throughout the day
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, achievements and any concerns
• Collaborate with colleagues and management to ensure consistency in teaching approaches and maintain high standards of care
• Maintain accurate documentation including attendance records, incident reports and developmental assessments
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching practises

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field
• Recognised teaching qualification or certification in Early Childhood Education
• Minimum 2-3 years of verified experience working with young children in a kindergarten or pre-school setting
• Strong understanding of child development theories and play-based learning methodologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Patience, creativity and enthusiasm for working with young learners
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and lessons
• Sound knowledge of child safeguarding, health and safety procedures
• Proficiency in English and Malay (both written and spoken); additional languages are advantageous
• Physical stamina and energy to support active play and supervision throughout the day
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to individual child needs and classroom requirements
• Previous experience with international or enquiry-based learning curricula is preferred
