Key Account Specialist - Johor Bahru

Position Overview

This position reports to the Panel Builder Lead and contributes to the Electrification Smart Power/Smart Buildings Business based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The role involves responsible sales of products, systems, and services within a designated market/division, aligned with the division strategy.

Responsibilities
  1. Achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.
  2. Identify and develop new sales opportunities.
  3. Sell products focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.
  4. Prepare sales plans, review progress regularly, and propose recovery plans if needed.
  5. Communicate delivery, payment, and terms details to customers in line with ABB's offerings and strategies.
  6. Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand needs and promote full product offerings.
  7. Ensure positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  8. Coordinate marketing activities, communicate value propositions, and collaborate with demand creation teams.
  9. Implement marketing plans and follow up regularly.
  10. Identify and develop new market opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the electrical industry, with segment/application engineering knowledge.
  • Strong network within Southern region in Building, General Industry, Data Center, Factory segments; project sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in direct or indirect sales or marketing, with proven customer relationship management skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills; commercially astute.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently and in teams.
