Summary

In this role, you will report to the Key Account Manager and serve as a key liaison between customers, the sales team, and various cross-functional departments on operational matters. You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely support to both the Key Account Manager and Department Head across a portfolio of customers. This position is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

We are looking for someone with good interpersonal and communication skills and a good analytical mindset.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Key Account Manager in implementing regional strategy and cooperate with all departments to ensure optimal customer service and meet the assigned KPIs, to help grow the sales and profitability of assigned Key Accounts.
  • Follow up promptly on new business deals, contract fulfilment, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Conduct analysis and generate business reports as and when required.
  • Assist with processing tenders, price quotes, and rate negotiations for assigned Key Accounts.
  • Promote group services such as VAS and X-sell activities to assigned Global Accounts.
  • Actively participate in team discussions and contribute suggestions for improvement – process improvement, timeline, operation, turnaround time.
  • Contribute to dispute resolution with the trade management team and back-offices.
  • Handle off-tender requests such as quotations and liaise with respective trades.

To perform well in this role, you should possess a good problem-solving mindset with the ability to adhere to tight schedules and a high degree of initiative and adaptability while working in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least a Diploma from a recognized educational institution.
  • 1 – 2 years of related field experience in the shipping or logistics industry.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, i.e., PowerPoint and Excel, particularly with VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
